preproduction, song snippets, and “grand plans for strange things” for free

on Jan.31, 2015, under Music, News

Hey everyone,

Preproduction of new material is in full swing. So what exactly is preproduction? We like to think of it as jamming on new riffs which turn into rough versions of new songs leading to more refined recordings which will eventually lead to what we lay down in the studio. It’s the creative process at its best. If you saw us when we were on “tour” (so we mostly played Philly but whatever, it was fun) for Grand Plans for Strange Things you most likely heard some of the new songs. We currently have enough material in the works for another full length though we’re not certain a new LP is on its way yet. We may do an EP in the meantime but may hold out for LP2. Maybe we’ll just drop some singles in the near future. We’ll be sure to make some noise once the new stuff is ready. For those of you curious here’s some snippets:

new music, new site, and where else to find us

on Feb.11, 2013, under Music, News

Hyping music your band is about to release is what indie artists do best. Why not build up what you’ve worked so hard to create? Unfortunately, most of the time the music is never delivered or if it does see the light of day, it’s way overhyped and that “recorded in your parent’s basement” sound makes it lose its appeal all too quickly. Although the recording process for this LP started a little over two years ago and the final pressing probably won’t be released in its entirety for another month or two, the project is coming to a close and the time we’ve taken to ensure we produced the best end product we could will be evident when you give it its first listen. We haven’t said much but the time has come. We have all the singles mixed and mastered (professionally might I add). The remaining tracks are being finished up. We’re excited that the singles will start hitting the internet shortly. With a new album comes a new site design as well. Hopefully it’ll be a little easier on the eyes.

If you haven’t already liked us on facebook, you should head over there and do that. That goes for following us on twitter, too. We have plenty of other homes on the web, but those are the two major outlets we frequent.

Once the singles start hitting the airwaves, you’ll find them here on our site, over at bandcamp.com, iTunes, and many more outlets across the web.
