Three Years is The World at Large’s third EP. It’s comprised of tracks found on The World at Large EP and Punchdrunk in Rome as well as acoustic versions of three new songs that will be on the forthcoming full length release. Although barebones in their current form, the new tracks have that TWAL sound their fans have grown to love. Isn’t It Funny? adds to the collection of vocal harmony rich songs. One Day and Living in a Dream focus more on the instrumentation in their current forms. Released primarily to get attention from potential fans and create some buzz around the band, Three Years is also for current fans as it provides a sneak peak into what’s to come.

Punchdrunk in Rome
Released June 8th, 2010
- 5 to 6 (4:40)
- Spies (2:55)
- Broke Down in Batsto (2:45)
- Sand Castles (3:50)
Punchdrunk in Rome is the second EP released by the The World at Large and the first release to feature all the current members. Just like The World at Large EP, the band recorded, mixed, and produced the record on their own. Building on the sound created with the first EP, Punchdrunk in Rome illustrates how the band expanded their sound. The opening track, 5 to 6, is darker and heavier than anything previously released by the band. Broke Down in Batsto and Sand Castles get away from the strictly guitar driven sound, even if only temporarily, with alluring saxophone melodies. The vocal harmonies, melodic rifts, and driving percussion is still clearly present so fans who adore the first release won’t be disappointed.

- Wrong, Wrong, Wrong (3:30)
- Northern Exposure (2:50)
- Dear Miss Barkley (3:30)
The World at Large EP is the first release by The World at Large. The EP was recorded, mixed, and produced by the band. Shortly after Tim and Dom left their previous projects, the two got together to work on songs each independently wrote. This eventually morphed into a project called Golden Chutes. Andrew was brought on board to play drums to help flesh the material out. He decided to permanently join the group and it was shortly thereafter the name Golden Chutes was dropped in favor of The World at Large. With four finished songs under their belt, the band decided it was time to get some material out there for the world to hear. The World at Large EP contains lots of vocal harmonies, melodic guitar rifts, and driving percussion. The EP gained the attention of several blogs, including philebrity.com and WMMR’s local shots.
